حمٓ
١

Ḥâ-Mĩm.

44:2

وَٱلۡكِتَٰبِ

ٱلۡمُبِينِ

By the clear Book!

44:3

إِنَّآ

أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ

فِي

لَيۡلَةٖ

مُّبَٰرَكَةٍۚ

إِنَّا

كُنَّا

مُنذِرِينَ

Indeed, We sent it down on a blessed night,¹ for We always warn ˹against evil˺.

44:4

فِيهَا

يُفۡرَقُ

كُلُّ

أَمۡرٍ

حَكِيمٍ

On that night every matter of wisdom is ordained

44:5

أَمۡرٗا

مِّنۡ

عِندِنَآۚ

إِنَّا

كُنَّا

مُرۡسِلِينَ

by a command from Us, for We have always sent ˹messengers˺

44:6

رَحۡمَةٗ

مِّن

رَّبِّكَۚ

إِنَّهُۥ

هُوَ

ٱلسَّمِيعُ

ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

as a mercy from your Lord. He ˹alone˺ is truly the All-Hearing, All-Knowing—

44:7

رَبِّ

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ

وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ

وَمَا

بَيۡنَهُمَآۖ

إِن

كُنتُم

مُّوقِنِينَ

the Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything in between, if only you had sure faith.

44:8

لَآ

إِلَٰهَ

إِلَّا

هُوَ

يُحۡيِۦ

وَيُمِيتُۖ

رَبُّكُمۡ

وَرَبُّ

ءَابَآئِكُمُ

ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him. He ˹alone˺ gives life and causes death. ˹He is˺ your Lord, and the Lord of your forefathers.

44:9

بَلۡ

هُمۡ

فِي

شَكّٖ

يَلۡعَبُونَ

In fact, they are in doubt, amusing themselves.

44:10

فَٱرۡتَقِبۡ

يَوۡمَ

تَأۡتِي

ٱلسَّمَآءُ

بِدُخَانٖ

مُّبِينٖ

١٠

Wait then ˹O Prophet˺ for the day ˹when˺ the sky will be veiled in haze,¹ clearly visible,
