Al-Ma'un

107

أَرَءَيۡتَ
ٱلَّذِي
يُكَذِّبُ
بِٱلدِّينِ
١

Have you seen the one who denies the ˹final˺ Judgment?

فَذَٰلِكَ

ٱلَّذِي

يَدُعُّ

ٱلۡيَتِيمَ

٢

That is the one who repulses the orphan,

وَلَا

يَحُضُّ

عَلَىٰ

طَعَامِ

ٱلۡمِسۡكِينِ

٣

and does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

فَوَيۡلٞ

لِّلۡمُصَلِّينَ

٤

So woe to those ˹hypocrites˺ who pray

ٱلَّذِينَ

هُمۡ

عَن

صَلَاتِهِمۡ

سَاهُونَ

٥

yet are unmindful of their prayers;

ٱلَّذِينَ

هُمۡ

يُرَآءُونَ

٦

those who ˹only˺ show off,

وَيَمۡنَعُونَ

ٱلۡمَاعُونَ

٧

and refuse to give ˹even the simplest˺ aid.¹
