ٱلَّذِينَ
يُكَذِّبُونَ
بِيَوۡمِ
ٱلدِّينِ
١١

those who deny Judgment Day!

83:12

وَمَا

يُكَذِّبُ

بِهِۦٓ

إِلَّا

كُلُّ

مُعۡتَدٍ

أَثِيمٍ

١٢

None would deny it except every evildoing transgressor.

83:13

إِذَا

تُتۡلَىٰ

عَلَيۡهِ

ءَايَٰتُنَا

قَالَ

أَسَٰطِيرُ

ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

١٣

Whenever Our revelations are recited to them, they say, “Ancient fables!”

83:14

كـَلَّاۖ

بَلۡۜ

رَانَ

عَلَىٰ

قُلُوبِهِم

مَّا

كَانُواْ

يَكۡسِبُونَ

١٤

But no! In fact, their hearts have been stained by all ˹the evil˺ they used to commit!

83:15

كـَلَّآ

إِنَّهُمۡ

عَن

رَّبِّهِمۡ

يَوۡمَئِذٖ

لَّمَحۡجُوبُونَ

١٥

Undoubtedly, they will be sealed off from their Lord on that Day.

83:16

ثُمَّ

إِنَّهُمۡ

لَصَالُواْ

ٱلۡجَحِيمِ

١٦

Moreover, they will surely burn in Hell,

83:17

ثُمَّ

يُقَالُ

هَٰذَا

ٱلَّذِي

كُنتُم

بِهِۦ

تُكَذِّبُونَ

١٧

and then be told, “This is what you used to deny.”

83:18

كـَلَّآ

إِنَّ

كِتَٰبَ

ٱلۡأَبۡرَارِ

لَفِي

عِلِّيِّينَ

١٨

But no! The virtuous are certainly bound for ’Illiyûn¹ ˹in elevated Gardens˺—

83:19

وَمَآ

أَدۡرَىٰكَ

مَا

عِلِّيُّونَ

١٩

and what will make you realize what ’Illiyûn is?—

كِتَٰبٞ

مَّرۡقُومٞ

٢٠

a fate ˹already˺ sealed,
